Love without asterisks. All means all. When we say all are welcome, we proclaim it without asterisks, without exceptions, qualifications, or reservations.

Online workshops

Online workshops are offered annually to provide a space for asking the hard questions. We welcome people of shaky faith, solid faith, or no faith to a journey of exploring your beliefs about the Bible, Christianity, LGBTQ+ or gender identity. All workshops meet on zoom.

Holding Faith/ Holding Family free online workshop
(updated for 2025)

Led by Vikki Randall and Kay Drinkwitz

7 pm (Pacific) Thursday evenings online
September 11–October 16, 2025

Many Christians intuitively desire to love and welcome their LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors, and are heartbroken by the injustice they see in both political and ecclesiastical spheres. And yet, for many, Scripture seems to present a barrier to full inclusion. They feel forced to choose between their faith and the LGBTQ+ folks they love. Holding Faith/Holding Family takes a step back and looks at how we read Scripture and the process of discernment in order to explore the "clobber verses" thoughtfully and prayerfully. This will be a space where you can ask your most honest questions, dare to share your fears and hopes, and bring struggles from conversations with loved ones who may not share your same views. We will read together The Widening of God's Mercy by Richard & Christopher Hays, which takes us beyond proof-texting to observe the wide over-arching love and inclusion of our boundary-breaking God. The goal is to find a bigger, joyful table, with room for all. Come if you want to learn more on the journey toward inclusion, come if you are wrestling with Scripture, or come if you simply desire to have better conversations with family or friends for whom the Bible gets in the way of inclusion!
